I have finally had enough of Youtube's incessant bullshit. Anybody have familiarity with other video hosting sites and can suggest one?

I never uploaded a video on it but I watched a couple of videos from it and Vimeo looks pretty nice.

You might want to check it out. I have no idea about their customer service and policies though.

Vimeo. It's where I post more personal stuff like the oral history I did with my dad. You can easily set up invite only videos if you want to keep stuff within the family. Very good picture quality too. They did HD before YouTube offered it.

David, I recently created a Vimeo account. One video upload just to test, it went smoothly and the interface is much simpler and easier to use than YouTube. You can choose to allow people to download the video, or not.
We can hope it won't turn into another YouTube.....
