i have a problem with playing in other positions besides 3rd and 2nd. what is a good way to get started on the other positions. like songs or riffs that would get me on my way.. i know how to bend every note pretty good and i know how to over blow the 4 5 6 a little bit on the 7 and overdraw on the 8 9 10
Try "The Thrill is Gone" in 6th. I think you'll find it plays quite nicely. ---------- Sun, sun, sun Burn, burn, burn Soon, soon, soon Moon, moon, moon
@toxic You need to have a solid grasp of 1st position if you haven’t already done so.
Start with Adam’s 1st position videos on YouTube. Grab an “A” harp and get to steppin’. Learn your basic scales. Steve Guyger and Kim Wilson play a lot of blues in 1st, especially Wilson.
Here’s a great practice tune. "A" harp

awsome thanks yall. yea i skiped right thru first position. i learned o susanna and other holiday tunes but never been able to improv on first pos. and @harpdude61 ya you r correct . typo.. kk i will try these out. thanks yall!!
I've shared this before - it's not blues. You will need to open your ears and try to emulate since he doesn't give hole numbers as he plays. It's a C harp in 12th position.
This is Jason playing a B harp in 12th. This song helped me get a good grasp of working notes in this position since there is a lot of repetition and he slowly builds the complexity. Enjoy!
