This is a recording of me improvising/jamming along with the Muddy Waters song "Honey Bee". It was my second full take; the first take had sound level issues.
After almost two years of practice, in a near-vacuum, I could really do with some external feedback on my playing. If any of you guys can find the time to listen and comment I would be extremely grateful.
My goal at the moment is to eventually play at a local blues jam. I know I'm not there yet but I'm hoping that some constructive criticism will help me along.

I think you sounded bluesy and in the pocket with the track. thorvaldsen76 is right, I think you would have fun @ a jam.

I too thought it sounded pretty good. I would learn more about where the chord changes occur. Nice job though.

Sounds good. The 4draw could use a little work in *some* places. Many of your harp parts were nicely placed.
Honey Bee is my favorite Muddy Waters song, and is the first full song I learned on guitar. I am in love with the guitar playing on this one.

Go for it! You're bound to feel nervous and "am I good enough?" before your first jam. But I agree with the others. Go for it. You'll have a blast!

Sounds GREAT, especially for 2 years in.
Where did you get that track? I have a few different versions of Muddy's Honey Bee, but not that one. ---------- Go ahead and play the blues if it'll make you happy. -Dan Castellaneta

I think you're doing just fine down the low end. I would have like to hear you move up higher, especially in the break.

Thanks very much for all of the positive comments!
Thank you also for the constructive feedback; I totally agree with what's been said and I'm going to work on the chord changes, 4 draw and higher end of the harp as suggested.
@ReedSqueal - This particular version of Honey Bee was taken off "Muddy Waters the Anthology" by M.C.A Chess.
The comments you've all left have been very encouraging - I wasn't expecting that. Just a little more practice and perhaps I'll get myself down to that jam!
