I opened up my D flat special 20, since the 1 blow was horrendously flat. Took out my tuner, took an emery board to the tip of the reed, and voila! Retuned it a few cents sharp and now the octave with the 4 blow is actually consonant!!!! Way easier than i thought it would be!

I can replace/improve & seal combs, emboss, gap, install screws, custom paint, open covers, center reeds, remove burrs, flat sand, etc...
But I cannot tune a harp to save my life...
I don't know why, it just seems like I never get anywhere...
I did recently get aggressive trying to make a country tuned harp. It is now sitting in a drawer, waiting for me to figure it out...

Lazerface, congrats to you. I remember the first time I touched a harp and did not destroy it. That was a very awesome day, indeed. Kingobad, what? Would it help if I put uP a tuning video? Your post inspired me to put an Eeyore quote at the bottom of my signature with the hot ancient persian chicks, lol. ---------- David ____________________ At the time of his birth, it was widely accepted that no one man could play that much music so well or raise that much hell. "Oh, Eeyore, you are wet!" said Piglet, feeling him. Eeyore shook himself, and asked somebody to explain to Piglet what happened when you had been inside a river for quite a long time.

@ Mr. Payne. I like that, you have a very English sense of humor.

I blame Saturday Morning Brit-coms on WV Public television for that. ---------- David
