Yesterday afternoon I received a news bulletin email from my local blues society (Kentuckianna Blues Society) here in Louisville KY that John Nemeth & his band were making a last minute unscheduled stop to do a show at one of our blues clubs here in town.
Man what a show! His band along with his singing and entertainment skills were more than worth the price of admission. His harp playing was pretty inspiring... he just rocked! I saw him last at the Green Parrott in Key West in '08.
I was on the road with my band and was playing just around the corner. When my band went on break I walked over to check him out... Kid Andersen was playing him. Man oh man were they ripping the place up! Last night's show was better.
John was using a pistol grip 545 plugged straight into a Sonny Jr 410 amp. Yummy! What a treat!
