I saw Steve Guyger at one of his gigs and let me tell he looked ruff - he has that convict look about him right off the bat. Anyway - it looked like his suit was on backwards and pulled from under his car seat. I said you don't look real happy to be here Steve, he just rolled his eyes and moaned- man I'm tired...Once the music started though - you could see him slip into performance mode and by the 3rd song he was tearin it up.
I am glad to have Steve as a friend and mentor-he travels a lot-not just the USA-Europe as well. It's tiring for even the most travelled pro. I talked with Steve about the days when he regularly carried a knife and gun-he is tough,no doubt. But these days,Steve is much more the ladies man/gentelman. You can tell when Steve gets going. His feet leave the ground slightly, and he throws his head back-I have seen him almost reverse-head butt some people!! Steve is a great player- I can listen to him play for hours-
Know that you mention it - he actually was flirting on a few songs with the girls in the front row, trying to woo them with his harmonica playing, that was fun to watch,Steve havin fun with the audience.
So I started watching the one Frank posted and realized, "... I've been there..hmm that's like 30 min away! Aw #*@&$^!" Needless to say, I'm kicking myself for missing that. ---------- Brad
