I doubt that your intention in reverse engineering is to quench your academic curiosity. I can only assume that you want to recreate the pedals without paying for the many hours of electronic theory and experimentation. Randy Landry is a great friend to the hamonica community and gives away tons of free imformation on his website. His pedals are reasonably priced compared to other boutique pedals, they do what he says they will do and they seem to be pretty bulletproof to me. It is my sincere hope that the moderators will shut down this thread before this goes any farther. Jay PS--If I'm wrong about the intentions I apologize in advance. I should probably just let the topic die on its own. ---------- Music speaks where words fail.

I haven't reverse engineered them. But I've purchased two, and they're worth every penny. ----------

I second both 9000 and MN. Lone Wolf produces excellent products which are also good value. Man up and pay for the damn thing. ---------- LSC

................but it's ok to cnc mill and sell combs for all the major makes of harp though, right?

most of the combs that come as standard with the harps are poorly made and need improving. so people offer a better alternative.
lone wolf pedals do not need to be altered to preform to high standard, the come that way already.

i am a tightass, the $$ is just not available for non essential music purchases here. but with a recent windfall i bought one of the delay pedals and a power source at the same time. after my first gig with this thing i have to say it is totally worth it and randy deserves every dime for his products. if his other pedals are as good as this one i may have to spend some more money! ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene

Im happy with my harp delay and harp octave. But I haven't tried to reverse engineer them. Randall is pretty generous in his business practice. He's building good stuff for harp players. I'm happy to support that. ----------

i've also got the v1 Delay and the amazing feedback-cutting Octave--and both are the best pedals i've ever played for blues harp (for use with a tube amp).
BUT... better yet is talking to missy and/or randy if you have any questions, or while ordering, or for whatever; they're real, actual people, making a living based on randy's ideas/effort/hard work/experience/skill--and the good faith that there's a big enough market of serious harp players willing to acknowledge, support and embrace it.
if you don't exactly fall into that category, then just spend 20 years figuring out how to build your own version, on your own. and if it's good enough, and the customer service is good enough, maybe we'll support you, too. we're always looking for awesome new shiny things...
