My good friend Seth Holtzman is giving harmonica classes in Philly this summer. Here's the relevant portion of his email, in two posts. He's a very experienced teacher and fine player. Nice guy, too.

I will be teaching harmonica classes this summer in the Philadelphia Folksong Society (PFS) building on Emlen Street in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. The room is air conditioned! Are you are interested in taking one of my classes this summer? I am thinking of teaching two of the following classes. Your responses (on the questionnaire below) will help determine which two classes will be offered. - Blues Harmonica 1, - Blues Harmonica 2, - Rock 'n' Roll Harmonica 1, - Rock 'n' Roll Harmonica 2, - Harmonica 2, - Other (your suggestion). You may already have taken a Beginner's Harmonica class with me. I call this a "level 1" class. The Blues Harmonica 1, Rock 'n' Roll Harmonica 1, and Harmonica 2 classes are "level 2" classes (for people who have taken a Beginner's Harmonica class with me, or who have comparable skills and knowledge). The Blues Harmonica 2 and Rock 'n' Roll Harmonica 2 classes are "level 3" classes (for people who have taken Blues Harmonica 1, Rock 'n' Roll Harmonica 1, or Harmonica 2 with me, or who have comparable skills and knowledge). The classes will be held on Monday* nights, beginning July 9, and run for 8 weeks, through August 27. (*However, if enough people prefer other nights, we may be able to run classes on other nights - let me know your preference.) One class will run from 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM. The other will run from 8:00 PM to 9:15 PM. Again, please let me know your preference.
