Does anyone know if the plastic combs used in a range of harps is the same regrdless of the key. Eg. Is the same plastic comb used regardless of whether the key is in G or E?

My reason for asking is I have a Bushman Delta Frost which is in the key of C where the 5 draw has gone kapput. I've ordered a set of Promaster plates in the key of A to replace the old ones but just thought that there may be a problem if the combs differ.

Has anyone tried this? Would have thought that all the combs would be the same apart from the obvious key marking but I don't know for certain.

I've just checked 5 spare plastic combs, different keys, same make and all the slots are the same.
I'm pretty sure though that the Promaster has an alloy comb,
my 350v's do, so Idon't know if Promaster plates will fit a Delta Frost.

Thanks wheezer much appreciated. I've just replaced the reedplates on my old C Bushman Delta Frost with reedplates for the ProMaster M350 in the key of A. It's working fine. The actual reedplate is very marginally narrower (about .9MM ish) but it doesn't make a great deal of difference. It does seem that the combs are standard across the range be it a C or A or whatever. The same reedplates will also fit into the Bluesmaster.
