I travel a fair bit and taking harps with me has been a bit of hit and miss. I tried some fancy expensive leather wallet style harp cases and they are ok ie look great but harps are prone to cop some damage if eg you accidently sit on them or pack something heavy on top of them. I now find that I am using a simple plastic storage container that is available here from hardware stores. The container is a five compartment box ie like a small fishing tackle box with each compartment neatly holding a harp ie 5 harps per box. I now have 5 of these storage boxes ie for 25 harps and fit them all neatly in a small food cooler bag. I find them very convenient to use and cost each only a couple of dollars. You can see them illustrated on the following website and whilst they are made in Australia it would really surprise me if something like this is not available worldwide. Product No IH-030 www.fischerplastics.com.au/ProductPages/StorageBoxes.html I drill holes in the sides and tops of the containers to allow harps to air after use.

Got a metal case from Harbor freight for about $29 had an insert with pockets for tools etc plus various deviders in the main box . It reminds you of one of those cases the Bad guys in the movies always carry their drug money in when they are doing tranactions. the insert with the pockets for the harps comes out and I usually put them on a stand by themselves . that insert holds 16 harps I just counted and I keep the Chro's in the main case along with cables mics, mini amp batts etc...... I'll send a picture if you like,,,, just e-mail me.

Aussiesucker. That is a fantastic idea for those who air travel.
Keep harps in carry on, and make it a quick visual for your "ammo clips" when you pass through inspection.
Good on ya!

I found this box at Best Buy (or it might of been comp USA I forget) and it fits six Hohner Marine Band / Special 20 cases or Bushman cases perfectly. It's too wide for the harmonicas without their cases (unless modified) but perfect with their cases on. Un-velcro the pouches on the outside and you're ready to go. http://www.ideastreamproducts.com/vaultz/VZ01274.html ---------- "Without music, life would be a mistake" -Nietzsche
