Hey guys, I'll be staying with a friend in London on Saturday evening, August 16, after finishing my week-long stint at Blues Week (Northampton University), and I'm quite sure I'll be interested in finding some live music--blues harmonica, preferably, but any sort of blues would be fine, or jazz beyond that.

I'd be happy to hear from any of you who live in or near London and have suggestions for which club I might want to drag my friend to.

Hi Adam,

Was supposed to be doing the blues week but had to cancel due to moving to Germany but will hopefully go next year.

I have heard that The Blues Bar, Kingley Street Soho is very good. On Sunday afternoons they have a Blues Jam and if my memory serves me right Eddie Martin, a very talented harp and guitar player from Bristol, who also taught at the Blues week a few years back, recorded a live album there.

Their website is;http://www.aintnothinbut.co.uk/

Enjoy your stay in the UK

I was just looking at the web site for this club Adam and there is a good band on that night also, which do a lot of chicago blues Jerimiah Marques & The Blue Aces, check out their myspace page very good. Jerimiah sounds like a pretty cool harp player himself.

I could think of a lot worse places to visit on a cold wet summer afternoon and evening in London!

It will teach me not to read things properly in the first place the harp player in the band is called Wes Weston,I have listened to all their songs on Myspace now and would highly recommend a listen.

As a side issue did I read a while back you wee spending time in Germany as well, if so where.

Cheers or as they say in Germany Prost
