With all the discussion of WW II on another thread, very interesting BTW, and the recent anniversary of D-Day I'd like to make a pitch for Honor Flight. Honor Flight organizes and funds trips for WWII veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the War Memorial and Arlington.
I'm organizing a benefit show for Honor Flight Austin on Friday, July 20, 8:00 at Lucky Lounge, 209 W. 5th St, next to Antone's. The show will feature The Pain Killers, a group of Austin pros who's resumes include, James Cotton, Hubert Sumlin, John Mayall, Bo Diddley, Elvin Bishop, John Lee Hooker, Jonny Lang, Bernard Allison, and a host of others.
If you live in the Austin area or happen to be visiting at this time please make the effort to come down. It will be a great show for a truly great bunch of guys and gals to which we own an enormous debt.
