i was channeling the the spiritual power of bo diddley and i came across this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI2XaibmDiQ

at first i was like this is a keeblerville lamer but then it hits you how diddley bo friendly this is. i got mine out didnt tune it or nothin i think its in D, couldnt find my beater and slide i used a grease pencil and baby food jar. the jar was louder to play unplugged than the bottleneck. i could groove right along with this and sing it as well (strange i cant really sing and slide). if i get impatient and dont stick to the drumming on the string thing with the coffee can lids highhat, and try some crazy ass lead slide shit i hit a trainwreck. but i thought it was a nice groove you should be able to beat on your lap with a two even a three string. im just amazed what an awesome incredible force bo diddley is and sad that there may be parts of the world where people die without ever hearing his groove. im also amazed at how the 60s bands had more soul to their singing than these fake ass posers today. the black gladiator LIVES!

that was cool, was, that you in the video? The didly bow was nice I never thought about a high hat, cool,Hey homemade stuff is the best,If I had know how about 3 strings and making stuff like that 20 years ago I might never got a real guitar, well i take that back,A good guitar friend of mine tried to get some tuners off me a few years back said he could make a cigarbox guitar and only needed 3 and was telling about how cool they were,But it went over my head I didnt even think twice,( we was both wanting to jam needed a guitar both of us had the pawn shop blues ,but i didnt relise how easy one could be built)But I did keep the tuners ,They are special tuners from a nice acoustic guitar I got when working on the rode, which a few years later I got mad at a women and slamed the guitar, kept the tuners, and the neck, thats why my friend asked if I wasnt using them he could,But I kept them for over 10 years then I relised what he was talking about and built my 3 string using those tuners, well 3 of em,And the other 3 I put on the 1st money build I did for a friend on the net,There nicer tuners than my other 2 regular guitars My 3 string never go's out of tune. The women that fired me up to slam my nice acoustic,Became the mother of my Niece,And now she plays the 3 string some times over here(my niece), ;-)I cant wait until mY friend who told me all about 3 strings years ago gets out of prison,He'll get a kick out of jamming and hering the story.life is a trip.and Homemade instruments have a soul of there own,Heck I made the guitar and the bottle neck slide,it dont get no more down to earth than that,I love EM.

the highhat is two coffe can bottoms with a spring from a pump like soft soap. there a smaller spring seprates the two and then a long screw connects them. its just a crispy sound it can be adjusted with a philips head. the highat hides the tic tac sound of the slide. sometimes i slide with a harp and blow on the one where im just beating the string and highhat. i can play guitar with a rack but slide and rack is hard.

i always make my own tuners and strings.
