I have really enjoyed Adam's last two classes on youtube. I bought the What'd Say lesson a while ago and love it however I find that when I try to jam along with the great one I find it really difficult to keep up and/or keep in time. Is this an impossible feat or have some of you guys managed to pull it off????

zobot I have been playing about a year and the new Ray Charles licks are coming quickly. I bought the lesson a while back and it kicked my tail. However I went back to it a couple of nights ago and I am a lot closer now. I have never been much of a fan of Ray Charles but I like it a lot now. The timing/syncopation is really cool.

Are you new to tongue-blocking? I could see how someone that doesn't do a lot of tb'ing might get bogged down in that lesson. But if you work hard at your tongue-splits, you'll get it. For me, the speed isn't that tricky at all - it's playing the riff a few times in a row without dying. There are hardly no spaces to release your breath. Breathing is always the most challenging aspect of blues harmonica for me.

I'm not new to tongue blocking and although I try and use it I still need to practice. I can play What'd Say so it sounds pretty good but I guess I just need to keep at it-getting it to sound right with the music it going to take work! Good to hear you guys achieved it, thanks for responding!

In Little Walter's biography he stated that at the very end of a few solos for Muddy Waters, he was on the verge of blacking out. So sometimes I don't feel so bad, haha.
