For some reason on my three lower harps I'm only able to bend the 2 hole down a half step, instead of 2 half steps. I'm pretty sure my bending technique is good enough because I can do it on my higher harps pretty easily and I have no problem bending the 3 hole draw down four half steps. I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about this problem and how to fix it.

Lower that jaw until you physically can't get it any lower. I have a Low D harp that Dennis Gruenling inspired me to get. And I have to lower my jaw until it is uncomfortable to get the bend on the one hole. The lower the jaw, the larger the mouth cavity, the better tone, too!

You can also try changing the angle of the harp up or down in order to affect the airflow, without getting technical, it affects the air pressure (similar to an aircraft wing angle of attack) and can assist of getting the draw bends to the full limit. Once you can hear, feel and get to that point, you will be able to better reach it without the gymnastics.

I just got it. I was bending too much with the middle of my tongue and not enough with the back of my tongue near my throat. Thanks a lot you guys. Both of those tips helped me get it.
