I've written out a bunch of these hybrid tunings on paper and Kniri's 221 has been a part of many of them.

The thing that I'd really like to try is a twelve hole harp. 6 holes Richter and with the alternate tuning decreasing in pitch, like a 12 hole version of the forkord turnaround. You lose the extra octave range, but for the chord playing it sounds better to have the chords in a similar range. If Seydel ever starts selling custom big six reed plates, I'll build one.

Hi AW
Thanks for the interest.

My idea: 6+6

Two retuned 6-hole-harmonicas (Big Six) together (System Kniri 222)

Blow : :F,A,C,Eb,G,Bb: :C,E,G,Bb,D,F:
Draw: :G,B,D,F,A,C : :D,F#,A,C,E,G:

Bendings on all 12 holes !

Chords:

blow: F, F7 ,Cm ,Eb /C, C7, Gm, Bb

draw: G, G7, Dm, F /D, D7, Am, C
