I was gonna try to make myself a custom gigbelt to hold about 8 harps, but can't think of anything suitable to put the harps in - has anyone out there done this who could help or give me any ideas?

This one at guitar center is only $15 bucks. I personally think that if I tried to make my own it would end up costing only a little less + a bunch of wasted time and it would probably be not that good anyways

You will find what you are looking for here:
www.cumberlandcustomcases.com

But , I did not get my cases there. I, fortunately live near an Amish leather maker that was willing to put whatever I wanted together. Here are the cases that I have:

I make my "open mic" harp cases out of cigar boxes or dominos cases....
cigar shops sell ,them usually for a buck a box and you can line them with self adhering felt and make seperators if you see fit...they look great and work well.

That's some nice cases train-train!

Do you have an email address for that Amish guy? ;)

Meanwhile I'll be hoping for one to trot by. Not very likely in Belfast, but I can always hope!

Shane,

Thank you for your nice comments. My Amish leather maker does not have computer access yet, but he will receive your phone call. He has made a few cases for sale to my harp friends and I am sure he will custom make one to your order, if you like.
Let me know if you would like to pursue a custom case from him and I will figure a way to get you in contact with him without putting essential or possibly venerable info on the web.
