Hi all, I'm thinking of downloading the full version. Is it as good as it is made out to be ?, Any comments/tips would be appreciated. Thanx.

I got the full version of 'The Amazing Slowdowner' last year as a anniversary gift from my wife. Fourty bucks and it has higher quality than I expected. There are five different ways you can select for the conversion quality which really helps when slowing down below 50%. I was thinking about the tascam cd trainer, but I am glad I went this route.

It is amazing how much you can hear when you slow down harp cuts from the greats. There are things there that you just don't hear in real time.

I checked out the Slow Downer, and I was getting ready to buy it--then I discovered the Riffster 2900--which, I think, does about the same thing and costs half the money--has anybody else tried this? I would like to know if there is a reason to buy the SDer for twice the bucks--but haven't bought either one yet. . .

Riffster is at http://www.novadsp.com/index.htm

I have the Riffster 2900. It works well for me,but I haven't tried other programs. I have the free-version of the Riffster. I guess you have more options if you buy the full version but on the free version you can go from 40 to 150% of the tempo, and change the pitch, but you can't save loops or export files with it. I was planning to buy it,but I'm not very good at downloading programs and suddenly I had a so called evaluation version installed..as I said, not the full version but it does the job for me:)
