I play a majority of my music through an SM57 into a Zoom G3 into either a Fender or Laney keyboard amp. These amps are neutral so with the G3 I can select a muddy amp model. However I also have a Vox tube combo the AC4tv mini, which is a great if space is an issue. I would like a more traditional mic. I have a Bottle'o'Blues which is OK, but I want something more substancial. All the reviews on the 'classics' like the Sure 520DX or the Astatic JT30, suggest that the modern versions are not that good. So the big question is what to buy? My budget is not huge. Any help would be appreciated. Is the Superlux D112/C any good?

I use a Superlux for gigs, straight into the desk via a DI. It's fine. Sounds good into my Bassman too. Slightly bright: nothing that can't be EQd. It responds very well to a tight cup if you want to drive it.

I second the use of the Superlux. I don't find it at all bright, and yes it does respond to a good seal for overdriving.

You know, for certain gigs, i use an SWR Baby Baby Blue acoustic bass amp which is sorta similar to keyboard amp. i use a 545 Ultimate. On my pedal board, i have a Retro-Sonic Phaser with the depth set at 11 o'clock and the rate set at about 9 o'clock which gives me a tube compression sound when it's engaged. Not real distortion, but a nice change of texture. Just an idea I'm passing on, FWIW.
I'm not sure how a Superlux signal will process thru your G3. Not saying it won't process well, i just don't know. But in general, processors tend to work better with cleaner mics, so so may wanna try before you buy if you can.

Well using the excuse that it was my birthday, I bought a Superlux D112/C.... I have to say I am really impressed for the price (£37.60). Not too big, but pretty substantial. Sound is a little bright compared to my SM57 but that was easily eq'd. As 'Myverylonguserame' mentioned sounds great with a tight cup. I think I am going to enjoy using it :-)
Has anyone replaced the captive cord with a plug? Might be a worth while mod in the future.
Thanks everyone for your help.
