Man, if I wasn't sure that my sweet-tempered wife would finally get pissed off, I could be persuaded to go for this: a 1960 Premier Twin-12, superb condition, with original Jensen P12Rs.

I prefer 8's to 12's, and I've got a pair of vintage Premier Twin-8s, but still I would LOVE to magically be able to plug my mic in this thing and see how it sounded.

Sweet. There's a potential win-either-way scenario, kudzurunner.
You go for it, and she merely shrugs her shoulders at men and their propensity to buy ever more gear, OR she gets mad, real mad, and you have material for a new song...

I love Paypal. When I do on-the-side work and people pay me through Paypal, I don't sweat the four per-cent it costs me.

It's like a Swiss bank account.

I can bid on stuff on Ebay and all I have to do is get to the mailbox first.... No explaining needed....

Not that I have ever spend $1700 on Ebay... Maybe one day.

@arzajac. Agree that getting to the mailbox first is an important skill. Otherwise the conversation goes something like this:
"What's in the package?"
"Harmonica parts"
"Oh, OK."
No need to mention the parts may have been fully assembled into harmonicas at the factory...

Very cool amp - in beautiful shape. The bottom and back are a little beat but nobody sees those. An amp like that doesn't come along every day!

That is one beautiful amp, and the description by the seller takes you 3/4 of the way to purchase. Now if I only had a spare two grand.

I guess getting flak from significant others for excessive gear purchases (other than harp replacement) is universal. I have already been gently chastised for my microphone collecting. :)

"The price has been lowered to $1,450"

How very generous ;-)

Still looks like one "0" too many! Premier made some great sounding amps, but pay over a grand for one? Hmmm...Very different amp to the Twin 8.

Stage star is VERY rare, reflected in the price...nevertheless that seems optimistic too, but par for the course from a music store.
