Ronnie's CD has risen to #17 on the national Roots Music Report blues playlist. If you scroll down from top to bottom you realize that he's seriously cracked the big time. His self-produced CD is hanging in there just behind Alligator, Blind Pig, Stony Plain, all the big players in the blues album market. He beat out every Delta Groove and Delmark artist, for example. He and I have been duking it out for the past several weeks with our latest CDs, but mine fell off the bottom this week and his rose like a shooting star.

That's impressive.

He and I will be doing a clinic in San Jose, CA on September 15, BTW. Stay tuned for detals. Aki Kumar will be part of the evening show.

Again, congrats to Ronnie.

Good for Ronnie. I have nothing but good things to say about him, having had private lessons, downloaded others and taken advantage of his free videos. I have emailed him, and he has given me permission to steal...uh...emulate any and all of his licks on the new CD. I guess he doesn't feel threatened by an old fat guy in Michigan.

This is great for Ronnie. He is a wonderful player and a great guy. I've had the pleasure of trading licks with him at SPAH.

I would be terribly remiss if I didn't give some credit where some big credit is certainly due: toddg has been doing some kickass radio promotion for the album.

Radio promotion clearly makes a difference. It gives an album height and staying power. Mine had some height and a bit of staying power, but it didn't quite get that shot of promotional Viagra that would have resulted in Total World Domination. Next time, TG. You're the man, clearly.

@ kudzurunner

Great news for both of you.

Would love to come down from the East Bay and hear you guys in San Jose in Sept!

Please post any new info as the date draws near. Also feel free to contact offline or via email w/ event info. I'll try to spread the word in the SF, and Bay Area.
