So one of the bands I'm in plays at a club on Friday night. A couple of days later I get an email from the events organiser at said club to say that the gigs booked for the other bands I'm in are cancelled. The reason given is that we don't play the kind of music they are after. OK, I get it. So this particular band won't be invited back.
The other bands (one electric + a duo) they have never heard before. I just don't get it.
I mean how can you make changes without information?
So I rang the woman concerned and she said it was out of her hands. Well, that's that aint it?

How did your last gig there go?

I didn't think it went that well, as the band leader kept changing the play list which meant delays between numbers, but otherwise OK.
Still, I cannot understand why 2 other disassociated bands would be given the flick.

Sounds like somebody else has a friend in booking department. Check out who took you place. Somebody playing for less or friends with the booking person.
