I meant to edit this spoof commercial for Bubba Cola four years ago. Better late than never, I suppose. FIlmed in 2008. Features our instrumental jingle "Drinkify that Bubba!" Jason plays lead, I do the harmony.
It was. That was actually the first time we met. I was working for the local newspaper, Jason was coming to town and I called his people and set up a phone interview, then I went to his hotel after the show and we hung out all night. That video was made after we'd been up all night, it was maybe 6 a.m. Good times. ---------- David Elk River Harmonicas
No that was a year later. We showed up where my buddy/guitar player Greg Vincent was building a house with various members of the Big Possum Grin bluegrass band, which Greg played guitar for. Greg and his buddies just happened to be out shooting various high-powered rifles when we pulled up. So, we pull up in Jason's van and they all walk up to the van carrying all these rifles. We get out and one of the band members, who was holding a .270, says to Jason "This is your first time in West Virginia, ain't it?"
I don't know what Jason was thinking at that moment. Pulling up in a yard where there are four or five people shooting rifles - and walking up to your vehicle, still holding the rifles seems perfectly natural to me. Perhaps this is not done everywhere. ;)
