buddy guy is not only one of the most badass guitar players alive.......the man opens his mouth and just plain nails it. he is the whole package.

I have seen him a few times and never have I been anything but stunned by his performance and the performance of his lineup of backing musicians.

I have been to maybe 50 (pretty much 2 a week) shows since late last year and the front row buddy guy tickets far and away were the best tickets I have gotten for the best performance.

I love listening to horns for inspiration heck even guitar. that sax solo is pretty great stuff.

Very enjoyable jam. Frank, how do you go about transcribing sax solo for harmonica, or as you put it, steal the licks? I suppose you need to figure the key of the song first then very slowly pick the closest matching notes to what you hear the sax player playing on the appropriate harmonica? What key is this tune in?

@Ryan....having played brass instruments before taking up harp, I adapt horn licks when I can. I've never tried to duplicate a sax solo, and it's probably not practical to do so in many cases. Still, you can steal a lick here and there and incorporate it. I do duplicate a muted trumpet solo from Tuxedo Junction and can throw it into a slow blues.
