I have been in love with JImmy Reed since the first time I heard one of his songs. He has been a major influence on my sound- less and groove=some cool cool grooves. This one came out today on my opendoor custom hicksville MB in A.

How can you not love Jimmy Reed? I saw him play once. Very sweet cat.
Walter - If you could figure out how to make direct links to your new songs it would be a lot easier to give them a quick listen. All's I can click on is the "4,000+" in your signature.
When will you be adding another zero by the way ? - Mickey D's is starting to sweat.

I've always loved Jimmy Reed. He actually had more tunes crossover as hits in the white music charts than any other blues artist, inclduing BB King. He's a master of driving, but understated harp and essential for understanding the value of underplay rather than overplay. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

Thanks Steamrollin Stan!
bonedog: Loading my songs on soundclick takes longer than it does to record and mix them. If I go and add the link here then I have to go through that process so when you click it, the song comes up. Unfortunately my time is limited and posting them on the net is about far as I am willing to go. Heck with working full time, having a wife, 2 dogs, exercising, shopping, cooking, and all that other life stuff, added to my 3-10 hours a day of playing (and recording what I play) mixing it, posting to the web, leaves me little time for posting individual songs. When I retire I will have lots more time but see myself back to touring the world then and people will be paying for my songs :-) Walter
Jimmy Reed never gets old for me. I have never heard anyone do what he does like he does. He is IMO like Lightning Hopkins, a completely unique sound unto himself. When you leave space and don't pedal to the metal all the time, it leaves you a much bigger canvas to work with. ---------- walter tore's spontobeat - a real one man band and over 1 million spontaneously created songs and growing.
