I just put this up on bandcamp. Most of it is harp in a rack, my best ten tunes from the last ten years. Please check it out. Feedback appreciated! Thanks guys, Tom http://tomwalbank.bandcamp.com/album/tom-walbank-live

Just got done listening. I think the second half of the collection is far stronger than the first half -- make of that what you will. You've definitely got some catchy tunes, a distinctive voice, and a powerful style on the guitar (do you use open chord tunings?). At its strongest, the album is very strong. I thought some of the songs in the first half lacked focus in terms of composition. I liked the wailing harp-work in this context, and thought that it was bolstered by the fact that it SOUNDED like it was in a rack. Raw.
I'm wondering how you recorded this. It seems like it was recorded through a single dynamic mic held fairly far away from you. In any case, while it achieved the aesthetic that you say you're looking for on your bandcamp page, the audio did feel a bit too distant. Did you produce this yourself, or...?
All in all, I really enjoyed, and will buy it when I am not strapped for cash.

Thanks tf10music- yes I use open G tuning and capo it to open A. The reason it SOUNDED like it was played in a rack is because it was, it is all live and solo except tracks 2 and 4 which I played with a drummer. Thanks for the input. I recorded it by placing my i phone behind the vocal amp- mic placement!
