I just took a really cool amp in trade for a guitar.

1963 m-15

1x15 have both the original Jensen and a weber 50 watt alnico at my disposal.
2x6l6
3x 6sl7
5u4 rectifier

Not a typical harmonica amp but has potential. The tone is to die for if you dig 1x15 setups. Problem is gain factor it is really prone to feedback with a kinder it is quite manageable. It is gig able as is but could do with more volume before feedback.

Anyone got ideas on octal tube swaps that are a little lower in gain without really messing with plate voltage. Or completely gutting gain.

I got it as a guitar amp as I have always dug the old ampeg sound

When I can I will try to get some sound samples.

It sounds best with my 533sa shure mic. Really touchy with hotter Mics.

The tremolo sounds amazing and is actually useable.

I take back any feedback complaint. I just took this to a loud jam. I had room to spare on the knob before feedback with my effects rig. It was loud toneful and had incredible punch. Plenty audible on stage.

It sounds so absolutely tremendous with a low tuned harp.

First time ever I played a low low f on stage at a jam. It was thunderous and clear.

Very smooth breakup and obscene bass on tap.

My bassman has competition now. They are both comparable volume wise but the bassman moves more air and has more snarl and explosion when just plain cranked

the m-15 is much smoother when completely broken open. Very nice with effects. I just can't get over how amazing it handled low tunings.
