You're sore. Play the lowest note on the lowest harmonica you've got, and put your hand on your throat. Feel the vibration? That's what's going on in your nasal cavity. It means your resonant and probably developing some good tone.

i'd guess it IS dryness from all that air flow. and like david mentions, muscle fatigue as well. think about it, to play harmonica it takes using muscles that are only used for certain things like swallowing or talking or breathing. now you are working those muscles in a way they have never been used esp for extended periods of time.
all of that weirdness will fade either because the muscles tone up or you just get used to it and stop noticing.
