I just listened to Memphis Grooves on Spotify.
I urge everyone here to check it out. I'm not one for harpboxing or excessive harp based stuff.
This isn't at all. It's great MUSIC. Plain and simple. I rarely listen to an album from beginning to end, but I'm cooking up a nice meal for the wife and this was the soundtrack.
I love the low minor stuff. Sometimes we listen to so much impressive fast higher key stuff and forget about the emotion down low. One of the first albums I got was SBW II with the Yardbirds. He played a lot of low stuff there and I feel like I've been taken back some 25 years.
Awesome sir.

Brandon: You're very welcome sir.
I've toyed with the idea of getting a looper and having a go myself, but being a white 40 something Englishman, I'm going to look a little ridiculous beat boxing.
The other thing is that listening to some of the other guys who've done this I find it gets boring quite quickly as there's little opportunity to get past two chords and it's quite noticeable.
I didn't find that with this record. It just sounded really great. As I said, it was music.

Brandon is one of the most polite people I ever met. He's always saying "yes, sir" and "please" and "thank you." I'm always very proud of him, he is an incredible human being.

Brandon is one of the guys I heard about very early on after starting to play a little over a year ago. He is one of the few guys a follow. His music and videos introduced me to playing with a loop station which opens up a ton of doors when playing alone. Jamming with low-keyed harmonicas and incorporating beatboxing have changed my take on music too. He has been a great inspiration for incorporating new age music with the classics. I check his site, along with Gussow's, daily for video updates.
Brandon, if you see this, keep up the cool stuff. I hope to meet you in a few weeks at HCH. Thanks for the inspiration. Peace. ---------- -- "The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles but to irrigate deserts" -- C.S. Lewis
