Today I got to thinking about a new street rig for this summer. The local farmers market donates a spot to me so I can sell the dog biscuits my special education students make. The last few summers I have brought out a custom made acoustic guitar. The hot sun and humidity have caused the neck to warp and I figured I would forgo playing this summer. But then I remembered a battery powered honeytone amp (dan electro $20 new). I plugged in my 1963 jazzmaster to it and made these recordings to seee how it will sound. I dug it and the fender is indestructable. I don't amplify my vocals or harp so the honeytone is plenty loud.

here are a couple test songs:

Im like a rolling river through your town
The young women keep turning me wrong

Here is the rig:

snare drum with stick attached to beater pedal
ride cymbal with stick attached to beater pedal
1963 fender jazzmaster
dan electro honey tone amp
custom harps by open door harps

This rig can easily fit in a couple of those cloth grocery bags. The street has always welcomed me. Clubs, festivals, come and go for me, but the street always is a fun adventure. At the market I am legal, can sell cds, and collect tips. I usually make out quite well at this market. I am excited to hit June 2nd and every saturday that I am in mood through the summer. Walter

Got it. Thanks. That little danelectro sounds pretty good for a tiny $20 amp. I have one too, and don't use it much cuz I play acoustic harp, but I've thought it would be good for busking or something similar.
