I have a bluesmaster in Bb from almost 10 months, 9 of them it was my only harp. I learn to bend on it, to overblow on it, and until today it work just fine.

I have a set of Bluesmasters that I have had for over a year. I use them for the softer songs. I never use them too hard. They seem to play softer than my sp 20s or Harpmasters and Manjis

You might want to try some Seydel steel reeds in the future... Whatever of these you got left, loosen the reedplate screws maybe a quarter turn. Start from the center and work your way out from screw to screw in a pattern... You don't want the reedplates so loose they move, you just want to create a little air leak to let off some of the pressure. It's really common for folks who've been around long enough to collect a pension, they cut their chops on really leaky harps by modern standards, spent decades playing those leaky harps... Then a few years ago quality improves across the board and the pensioners blow them out left and right because the little reeds can't take all this air pressure and stress. I've sold and fixed a lot of harps over the years heard similar stories from lots of folks.

I have the same problem with every harp I have tried. Including Seydel Session Steel (Lo D). It is getting better as I gain experince so I expect it is technique. I am also learning to replace reeds (I just replaced 7 blow on my Seydel). Suzuki's welded reeds are a bit trickier to replace as you need to drill them out and mount the new one wiht a screw.

I just put a Promaster reedplate in my A bluesmater and that is working well for me. Suzuki has repaired some harps that failed very early on me. The technition that repaired them said he suspected my technique caused the failure.
