I know two high level belgian harp players: the first is known all around the world...this is the second, Thierry Crommen. Master in chromatic also; I think he can play all styles, except maybe the one of south Papouasie. 5 or 6 cd, not more; I own three of them.
I'll give you a third one: Steven De Bruyn. He pretty much plays all kinds of harmonicas (10 Hole, Chromatic, Bass, Chords). He's done a lot of different blues, jazz and experimental projects over the past 15 years.
When I based my band out of belguim for 2.5 years I spent a lot of time with Roland. I played gigs/festivals with his blues workshop. He took me around to some cool after hour places/restraunts that I would have never found on my own. It was fun being with one of the country's music legends. Roland use to play with Rory Galleger. Guy van eesbeck was a harp player I knew there as well. Now I think he makes mics and works with old amps? I think Steven was on stage here in Brussels with Wade Schuman (Hazmat Modine) as a guest somewhere in 2011. I recall his way of moving. Walter, you are right regarding Guy V.E.
laurent2015: Say hi to Guy for me and tell him he still needs to make a trip over here to the USA.
