What? No "Blowin The Family Jewels"? No "Jump For Jerry"?
Being from the PNW I'd have to add "Shoes for Shirley" by Mel Brown. Great list Adam. I know most of the songs, but didn't realize who their authors were.
Personally,Rollercoaster would be at the top of my list:)

Every time a list like this is published it costs me a hundred dollars to update my library! I love it! Thanks.

If it was my list I would have to include Work Song and East-West, both by The Butterfield Blues Band as part of the top 100. Maybe they weren't included because they are not pure blues in a technical sense but blues-jazz fusion numbers.

IMHO all of little walters instrumentals should be on this last and Juke is not even my favorite...he was the charlie parker or john coltrane of harp and was at the top of his game whilst doing instrumentals....

This is one that's always on my list of blues instrumentals. Bluegrass Special from 1946... it says a lot of things about black blues at the very core of the whitest of music and captures that moment that will very soon become rock n' roll.

No doubt Bill Haley listened to that Bill Monroe song.

No doubt at all. I figure this is why you mentioned Haley, but I'll fill in those who don't know, Haley is one of those direct links between bluegrass and rock n' roll. before he was Bill Haley and the Comets, he had a bluegrass band.
