Why, yes. I have read the transcript of this interview. The first time I read it was in 1981. It was published in Living Blues #8. Why do you ask?

I'm just surprised the transcriptions are not Quoted more - the information on what, when, where and how Little Walter and Louis Myers were thinking regarding the harmonica is right there for the taking, "in their own words"...I've heard snippets of it, here and there but never read it in it's entirety. I would of thought it would be more active as a (reference) then it it is. I don't recall seeing it around harmonica forum threads or others pointing to it... Hearing Little Walter and Louis Myers speak their minds about the harmonica is rather special and rare, THESE TRANSCRIPTS SEEM TO BE A GOLDMINE OF "pertinent information"!!!

Frank - I don't believe that most harp players that spend time on the Internet listen to many harp players that were active in the 50's other than Little Walter, Big Walter and Rice Miller.
Some people hear the much of the music from that time period and don't get it or they dismiss it as unimportant.
You don't find a lot of people digging deeply into blues musical history. There are a few, but not many.
That article isn't hard to find. Scott Dirks quoted a lot of it in his book. I believe he listed it as a reference. ---------- The Blues Photo Gallery

"you dont find a lot of people digging deeply into blues musicaql history" such a pity...the 3 harp players you mentioned is part of why I took up the harp....to participate in the greatest music made on this planet
