Sadly, due to losing my job next month i'm going to have to put on hold lessons with Michael and so this seemed like a appropriate time to post a note to say thanks to him.
I have played harmonica for around ten years - about half of that time I made no real effort to improve and noodled around without direction.
Over the last few years i have tried to up my game, i bought some of Adams excellent video tutorials, went to workshops and tried to struggle through theory books.
I watched the first 10 meat and potatoes lessons with interest - this fella could clearly explain a simple system to work out any note on any harp - wow!! quite a revelation!!
I contacted Michael and have taken lessons regularly over the last year. He has helped me raise my playing so it is unrecognizable from a year ago.
I am a reasonably compentent player so i wasn't really sure what impact lesson could make on my playing. The combination of useful theory (he really does have a great skill at putting it all over) and his musical input has been amazing.
We have worked hard on the diatonic instrument, playing in 12 keys, scales, modes, playing thirds, fourths, chord progressions etc
So i would like to take the opportunity to say a huge thanks to Michael for his enthusiasm, passion for the instrument and true desire to help me improve.
If anyone is sitting there feeling a bit lost and wants to get a lot more from the instrument - do yourself a favour and give the fella a call.
Regards
James UK

I'm really sorry to hear that James. I wish all the best in your search for a new job.
I know how much benefit you have received from Michael's lessons and how his approach has given a fresh focus and direction to your already impressive playing skills.
All the best
