Sad news indeed. I have 3 CDs by Boogie and love them all. His songwriting and loose style of playing harp had a big impact on me. R.I.P. Jerry

the little i know about him tells me he had a really full life with blues and harp.

I still remember an EP I got in the mid 70's that included both sides of his old Rex 45 from 1960 that had Steady and She's Tough and it just blew me away. About a year or so later, I got a 45 that had two previously unissued tunes from that session that wer pretty damned good too. In an interview, he always said he avoided playing turnarounds during a solo (or as he called them, turnbacks)>
