I heard this ancient song performed by Sting from an CD entitled 'If on a Winter's Night' of which the Amazon blurb states...

Whatever the blurb, the bottom line is....it's a nice tune:) I'm playing second position on a Bb Marine Band 1896
Well spotted btw. The song has been used as a Christmas Carol but it was new to me as I heard it for the first time by Sting. It's of the Coventry Carol type of song and sounds great with harmonies.
