I'm seriously thinking about getting a Kala Ubass, so if anyone has any experience with the different models, I'd like to hear your opinion.

My only experience is playing them in the store, which taught me one important thing: I WANT ONE.

my bass player has one. he uses it once in a while.
to me, it sounds very good. it needs to be plugged in.
the construction seems good.
everyone in the band picked it up and realized it was a true instrument.
