Purely by chance, I just stumbled across this video. Allan Harris is not a familiar name, but I can't help but feeling this guy should be a Michael-Buble-level mega-star. Hip but accessable jazz vocals, Wes Montgomery style guitar (on this track); sophisticated/swinging urban vibe. Check this guy out; share the vid with friends if you're so inclined. I'm a fan and will buy the cut on iTunes. Really nice video concept:



Edited to add: This song ABOUT the blues--it's about a woman trashing a man's heart--but it's a rejection of the blues stance. It's jazz's sweet refusal to say "F you!" and jazz's insistence on whispering in her ear and saying "C'mon, baby, we can do this thing again......" So despite the sweetness of this recording, it's not OT for this forum. It's all about the blues. It's about reframing the blues in a creative direction.
