Wow, I think it's been a couple of months since anyone berated Harrison. In all seriousness, though, how do you guys who received them like the harps? Have they become your favorites? Wish you had more? Stick 'em away in a vault? I'll go first. Didn't keep it. I liked the ergonomics, build quality, played well, but wasn't totally comfortable with the size and the tone was just ok. Basically I wasn't blown away. I cancelled my order for two more opting to stick with some customs.

It would have been interesting to see what they would have sounded like in the higher keys like Eb and F. I'm not crazy about the A's tone but not because it's bad - it's just that the design of the harp kinda warms up the tone which is not always needed for lower keys. I love the C though.

It's hard to get used to the feel of anything else after you've played a particular model for so long, which for me has been the Golden Melody, but I think the B-Radical is a good harp and was a good fit, due to its shape, for those already accustomed to playing Golden Melodies.

He broke three reeds, and I shipped him stainless steel reed replacements. It's good that Harrison chose Hohner HM reed size.

While I was researching reed sizes to find a match for the b-radical, I discovered that i can build a steel reed GM...

I like the reed plates and the removable reeds of the b-rad...I sold the body and the comb, which reminded me of something between a Golden Melody and a CX-12 and for being a diatonic it was way big to use. A regular sized diatonic is much more pleasurable to play! And with the help of Hetricks harmonicas I had the b-rad reed plates put on a Hetrick marine band type comb and attached Marine Band cover Plates. That worked like a charm and I am very happy with the results. It responds to the slightest breathe of air. It seems the Hohner Crossover has left the b-rad in the dust...
