Hello there - i run a small record label in South West Scotland called Distilled Records (we do like our whiskey in Scotland) - we've got a guy on the books called Al Price - he's a member of Steve Dowling & The Obliviates but also records solo stuff for the label.... think you'll really like him.... a few folk have already...

One of the most unique, and diverse harmonica players in the world today... World Of Harmonica

It is an ambitious debut album with a broad range of music and styles.... Harmonica World

He takes the instrument and the listener to some very intriguing places..... Blues Matters

Demonstrates Price's remarkable fluidity.... R2/Rock n Reel

thanks for taking the time to read this shameless plug but we really do feel he needs to be heard... again thanks...

Al sent me a copy of his debut album, and it is indeed a very interesting and original collection of songs. I'd urge players here to check it out.

Al was at the national harmonica festival (uk) last Oct down here in Bristol, and I had the pleasure of meeting and drinking with him.

He did a spot in the jam I was running on the friday, and I am sure he enjoyed himself as did everyone else.

The same event is happening in 2012 and if you will excuse another shameless plug:
