That's fantastic, Boris. Third position, I think I'm hearing, and an octave pedal. And all the musicality beyond that. It all works together. I love the little inflections you put on the notes, the "English," a pool player would say. The spin. Beautiful stuff.

Wonderful, Boris!

Is it played in third position on a Richter as Adam suggests? Or is it an alternate tuning or other position?

My overblowing technique is insufficiently developed for me to try to replicate it in third on a Richter diatonic, but the intervals didn't seem right without you playing overblows/overdraws on some notes of the melody. With the Octave effect and your technique I cannot clearly tell what is overblown or overdrawn in the piece, which is good. The tonality seemed consistent, with good inflection, as noted by Adam.

The music seemed reminiscent of when Chris M. used to play in 11th. But it might just be the octave effect misleading me into a false conclusion.

It is a really good performance, and I especially liked that you took over rhythm guitar to let the guitar player solo.

You have a cool band!

Is the band's name "Trio of Boris Plotnikov?

@jodanchudan, Frank, garry
Thanks

@Adam
Yes it's 3-rd position. Glad you like it, thanks

@doug
Thanks, yes it's 3rd position Richter. I have a dream to go to power chromatic, but I'm not ready yet. Funny but no overdraws at al and no overblows in head (possible some 6 overblows in solo). My band is humble called "Boris Plotnikov trio"

Thanks, for the reply, Boris.

I was trying to check out the song late yesterday evening, playing notes quietly in third position. I was playing very minimally at volumes that would not wake my wife. (The time listed on my posts is two hours earlier than the posts, so the forum must be set to Pacific Time, not Central.) I obviously failed to fully explore how the song could be played in third. I frequently play in third.

I should not have doubted Adam's take on it.

I will revisit it now,when I won't disturb anyone's rest with playing harmonica.

Great performance!

EDIT: It was the bent 6 that confused me last night. Playing too quietly...
