Is it the 3 4+ 4 4' lick? I think that's in one of Adam's videos, but I can't remember which one. Or it could be the 4 4+ 3' 2 3' 4+ 3+ 4+ 3' 2 3' one from Help Me?

Yeah the one I associate with that is the stretch of triplets on the track little village. 4 draw, 3 draw, 4 blow. Repeat. The 4 draw might have a slight bend on it. I don't remember off the top of my head 100% but I know that is the gist of it.

The lick Cotton does a lot too?

I covered it in one of my "low hanging fruit" videos

The way I hear it, the lick alternates between 4D natural, and 4D half step bend. Some people play it without bending.

It's definitely in one of my videos, but danged if I can remember which one.

Cotton does the lick on one of the songs on 100% COTTON. "All Walks of Life," at the very end of the sample.

I am playing howlin wolf memphis days and uses that riff on more than half the songs followed by his throat vibrato-he seemed obsessed with it but sure he copped it from sonny boy

What Sonny Boy tune are you talking about? Lots of people have stolen his stuff.

A classic example of why Adam Gussow is...well...Adam Gussow. A really brilliant instructional video, and an excellent refresher video.

yes adam does it in the video with lightning speed like sonny boy-wolf does it slower but throws the vibrato in at the end

I was crazy back then. Jeez. And of course those were the days when I thought that I'd be courting disaster if I used YouTube in a way that connected it with capitalist enterprise. Thus the "send it to the church" pitch. Pretty soon I looked around and realized that if the big movie studios were uploading trailers to YT, I didn't need to worry quite so much about pitching for my own business. :)

Ah, 2007-8. The Golden Age, the frontier, if you will, of YouTube harmonica instruction.
