Just bought one of these for my larger gigs. Only have write ups to go on as to how good they are. Seems to be the right thing, even though it's made in China. Solid pine and plywood face, all valve, 50w of grunt, lovely reverb and the right price as it's a superseded model. Anyone with experience of these?

Hi, Leather
I hope it works out for you. In my experience - that much power through that little speaker makes an amp very "stiff" for harp. Assuming you bought the single 12" model.
But the description of the preamp section makes it sound like you can get the gain down effectively, which will help avoid feedback.
And it uses 3 12AX7's - which is, in Fender amps, WAY too much gain for microphones - but is also good news because other tubes in the same family are readily available and you can try tubing it down.
Who knows? Might be great - and nobody knows it because nobody has tried - it is certainly not popular as a harp amp. Maybe it should be. Please let us know what you learn. ---------- /Greg

Yeah, thanks Greg. As soon as I get it and see what can be done, I'll let you guys know. I did wonder if I might have to change the 12AX's.

I have a "Kustom" Defender 5 WATT head and love it. Not much on the high wattage amps of any type.
