Just back from SG's show tonight. Tiny little venue, a sandstone barn, heritage building from the bad old days of van diemans land penal colony. I took my daughter along; she is almost 15. Shes a musician, but not into 'that kind' of music. He is such a player, she could appreciate what it was about. Just a beautiful concert. I feel very privileged. cocaine blues, Mississippi blues, mercy mercy mercy, shake sugaree, the glory of love, summertime(it was 39C here last weekend, 12C and raining thi weekend).

I'm not real familiar with Stefan myself, only thru listening on Pandora on my Rory Block station. They studied together as youths with Rev. Gary Davis in NYC, if I remember right, and I love what she does. Good to remember, learn from, honor and appreciate the original acoustic side of blues music.
