does someone know if there is a tube adapter to go from a 12sl6 to 12ax6?

I know there is a 6sl7 to 12ax7 adapter, but dont know if I can use it for 12sl7. (because 6sl7 is 6.3 volt and 12sl7 is 12 volt)

I thought there are 12ax7 tubes (or other 12a*7 tubes) that have 12 volt and 6.3 volt.

The 12sl6 tube socket is 12 volt so I need a 12ax7 tube with 12 volt. are those available?

Isn't this exactly what 7LimitJI said that he had, in the post about your Geloso?

12AX7 can be wired for 12v or 6v operation (they are 12volt tubes but are wired 6v humbucking in most guitar amps these days - it is the amp's heater circuit/adaptor wiring that is key here - a 12v 12AX7 and a 6v 12AX7 are exactly the same tube).

Search on e-bay, there's usually someone in Asia turning out oddities like this.

It may be just as easy to take the amp to a tech and have him replace the octal socket with a correctly wired 9 pin socket to allow any 12A#7?

You might also try a 12SN7 in place of the 12SL7, for lower gain.
