Red died yesterday. I am sure he touched more hearts than we individually could imagine. Personally, he let me live with him when I was a mixed up teen trying to learn the blues. I slept on his couch and he would play his guitar and sing all night as I slept. I learned more from that than anything else in my musical life. I know Red would rather leave the earth than not be able to play his music due to medical complications. Here are a couple songs for him/from him I recorded today. Walter

I had the pleasure of hearing him perform at Augusta Blues Week in Elkins, WV. I can see, no, I can hear, the connection you two had. I'm glad I had the chance to hear him.

I have dond memories of him from not onloy seeing him in the 70's, but more so in 1994, when I went on the road with him for a short time, replacing the late, great Carey Bell on harp with him. It felt like we were more like LW & Muddy playing that old school down home stuff. The man was the real deal. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte
One of the first guys to put his arm around me and let me play my one note with him as a youngster in Manhattan! Always a generous guy I remember playing with him near the Hell's Angels HQ in the East Village. Glad you guys were brothers Walter! d ---------- Facebook
