The amp I am playing through is a "Pignose" 7-100 portable amp. It can run on 6 AA batteries or a 9 volt DC adapter. I use these when I play small venues like coffee shops and still want a gritty sound.
Three of these at the same time with a band is awesome. Thank you for watching my video. Steve Harvell :)
I was using a "Shaker" dynamic mic in this video. But I do find that the "Shaker" and "Bottle O Blues" mics are VERY close in producing the same sounds. I carry a spare of both when I am out gigging.
But I do lean a little more on the side of the "Shaker". I will do another video this weekend and I will use the "Bottle O Blues" so you can compare.
Hi, Steve. I caught this video on the Blues Brothers site. Nice to see some traffic there. I couldn't post a reply, though, for some reason. How do you run three or four Pignoses simultaneously? A splitter going into the first two and then use the line out?
Nice playing. I hope you don't mind if I suggest that the harp volume is a bit on the high side. Especially with all that gritty, "dirty" sound going on. Just my opinion of course. Something important gets lost in the mix. ---------- Matthew
I use a "Morely" A/B/C pedal that has an input for my microphone cord and 3 outs, one for each amp. You have a stomp button for each amp, play one, two or three at once. I use a 9 volt battery in my pedal to completely cut out any hum and the battery last for months.
