Just got the album Flavio Guimaraes and Friends from Bluebeat Music - highly recommended. Features Steve Guyger, Rick Estrin, Joe Filisko, Madcat on ukulele and Gary Smith. The second clip on the video preview is one of the Gary Smith tracks - just beautiful!
It's helping me get over the overblown wall I've just hit with Adam's competition track...

J.C.- I have most everything Flavio has done, He has quite a few CD's out...THIS ONE I haven't heard yet and from the snippets it sounds like a scorcher. I recognized Rick Estrins Playing immediately. Thanks for the nudge...

Flavio was one of my picks to put on the recent 'best of' lists
The work he did with the Blues Eticolos(sp)
was some of the most serious tone and inventfulness(is that a word) i have ever heard in a lifetime of listening to Harpists.
He has serious chops and puts a new bent on even the old classics
Well worth checking him out if you haven't heard of him before.
If i could pick one harp player that i'd like to sound like he would be my first choice

Thanks for the heads up, this sounds like a great album.

Where did you buy it from?

I've checked itunes and Amazon but can't seem to find this one.
