After lunch today went by a local pawn shop to talk to a friend who works there. Was looking around and spotted a hohner case. So I asked to see it.. 7 harp case, inside was one lee oskar, one bluesharp, and 5 what looked like at first glance to be brand new Marine Bands. Now I know this set is sound so I am pretty sure that is what it was with a couple added harps. He wanted a 100 for the box then dropped to 90 when I waffled. Was more than I had to spend that day. could have put them on layaway but passed. They looked all shiny and new but without putting some air thru them no way to tell. But once pay day rolls around I might have to roll back over to see if they are still there haha.
two older effects units, 2 microphones, and one dumbek in trade and I ended up getting the harp case. The MBs seem to be fairly new. Not brand new as there is a little gunk on the D but the rest look straight out off the factory floor. The others in the box were a Bb Lee Oskar and an F# Blues Harp. Not bad but man the worth of things in a pawn shop has gone WAY down. Had I not been trading I would not have made enough in the sale to buy the box. Got it for technically 90 dollars but no cash actually changed hands. But the case is nifty and these will make very good back ups. Which I needed.
